1.Intrinsic factors
a.Lack of circulation of knowledge
-As employees must endure enormous amount of work, not having enough time to help out or communicate with other employees about problems that happens during work and etc.

Currently, there are no official study groups or mentor system within the company. Most employees depend greatly on official training by the company that takes twice annually. If they have any problems, they must solve it by themselves or ask specifically for help. Because of this factor, performance improvements or adapting to the company isn’t very easy for new employees.

b.Arguing against customers’ complaints
There are no ways for employees to speak out about unfair complaints
-(Interview) There aren’t any ways for employees to speak out for themselves when customers unfairly files for complaints. Because employees can have disadvantage on sensitive matters such as promotion and salary raises, this problem must be looked into.

c.Relationship with one’s superiors
The industry tend to keep its emphasis on experiences and career achievements
(Interview) Because the industry puts great emphasis on one’s career achievements and experiences, many pilots are from the air force, many employees feel that their superior are hard to communicate with and don’t have the courage to complaint whether it’s about work or the superiors themselves. This vertical structure needs to be changed in order for T’way Airlines to improve.
